DVR Instructions
DVR Compatibility:
Evertech Surveillance Recorders are compatible with AHD / TVI / CVI and Analog (960H) Security Cameras up to 2.4mp

How to Reset DVR Password:
New DVR has factory default password, which is remembered on the device. To log in, only click "OK". You can modify default password and create your own.
If you are logged out and you forgot password of your system, you can reset it following the steps below:
In the System Login window, click on "Forgot password"
The System will ask to answer safety questions, which were set in advance by us
The answers for these safety questions can be found in the instructions, which comes in the device packaging. You can also call our tech. support for these answers.(please have your Order ID ready when you call).
Input the answers for safety questions and click OK.Next step is "Password Modify". Create a new password for your admin account, confirm and click "Next".
Please note: We recommend not to change safety questions and keep it factory default for easy password reset. Click OK and you will see the message that the password was set successfully.
Connecting DVR to the Network:
If you need to monitor your CCTV system remotely, please be aware that DVR needs to be connected to the network. Connect your router to DVR with Network Cable. Ensure your system is set to DHCP instead of Static. (DVR Menu > Network Settings).
Test the network connection from Startup Wizard, you should see three green messages as on the image below. In case of error message, click "retry" several times or you might need to restart the device and test network again.
Where to Find QR Code for Remote Viewing (Startup Wizard)
In order to access your CCTV System remotely with a Smartphone (XMeye App), QR Code needs to be scanned when adding the device in the app. Please see below where to find QR Code of your device.
Access DVR Menu by clicking the right button of the mouse anywhere on the main screen. The menu will appear as shown in below screenshot:
Choose "Startup wizard" from the Menu and Click "Next" to continue. See below screenshot:
Wizard recommends to connect and test all cameras, this step we can skip and click "Next" to continue:
This step allows you to configure Time and Language, which is already set in advance, you can make changes if you need and Click "Next" to continue:
This step allows you to test your network, which is important if you need to access the device remotely. You may need to click "Retry" several times after connecting network cable or even reboot the device. If you see 3 green messages as shown on below image, the device is connected and Click "Next" to continue:
Here you will see unique QR Code of your device, which needs to be scanned when setting up remote access with your Smartphone on Xmeye Application. There is no need to create an account on App, just use "Local Login" :
You can use live view feature of the App to easily adjust your cameras' position and viewing angle to make sure your cameras are installed properly:

Find QR Code on DVR "startup wizard" menu or Access Main Menu>>Info>>Version
Download and open Xmeye app on your phone. It is NOT required to register cloud account, instead click on "Local Login" icon.
To add a new device, click on "+" in upper right corner of the window.
Fill in the required fields as it is shown on the image below:
Now device has been added to the list, click "start preview" to view your Cameras.
PC Monitoring - VMS Software Setup:
VMS Software (for 8 channel DVR) allows you to view CCTV Cameras on your Personal Computer, you can also playback or adjust some settings of your system.

As it is .rar file, extract files, open it and follow the steps to complete installation on your PC.

How to Backup the footage on VMS Software
Choose "Playback" Menu on the home screen
On the left side of the Playback screen Choose Channel, record type, beginning and ending time, Click Search as shown on the below image:
Related file will appear on the list, click on the "time download" icon. Choose exact beginning and ending time of the footage, Click "Download" as shown below
When download is completed, the icon will change, click on it to open the downloaded file path:
The footage will be saved in H.265 format. Below image shows the file location highlighted in yellow color
To Convert H.265 file to AVI format go to Home screen and choose Backup menu
In "Recording Backup" section click "Browse" across "Record File" field to choose H.265 file which is located at:
Local C: >> Program Files >> VMS >> data >> users >> admin >> downloads :
In the next field "Export to AVI" Click "Browse" to choose the location where AVI file will be saved
Click "Convert" button.
AVI file can be played with VLC Player.
